NOVEMBER MEETING

Program: "America at a Crossroads"
Guest Speaker: Barry Rascovar

Barry Rascovar has been an influential voice on Maryland politics for four decades with The Baltimore
Sun. Barry covering City Hall, Annapolis, and Washington. For twenty years, he served as deputy
editorial page editor, writing editorials and a weekly column regarding government and politics.
Today, Mr. Rascovar teaches courses on Presidential elections, and foreign policy for the Community
College of Baltimore County in Owings Mills. He also conducts courses called, Contemporary Issues, at various retirement communities. Barry is the author of two books: The Great Game of Maryland Politics and Marylanders of the Century. He holds honorary degrees from both Stevenson and Towson Universities. Tuesday October 25, 2022 VOICES: From Darkness to Light will feature Leslie Morgan Steiner, author of the New York Times bestselling memoir, Crazy Love. Ms. Steiner will share her harrowing story as a victim of domestic violence and her personal journey from "darkness to light". From Darkness to Light will be held at 6 – 6:45pm for wine and cheese reception with silent auction, 6:45pm program follwed with a question and answer session. $100 per ticket | $36 for guests under 30. Tuesday, Nov. 29,2022 Make a Llama Stuffed Animal at MMAE Sisterhood, 7000 Rockland Hills Road, Baltimore, MD 21208. Patterns, fabrics, threads, needles and stuffing will be provided-bring your own scissors. Make a hospital kid happy. The animals will be given to the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital for distribution to sick and chronically ill children at the out-patient services at their community Event for the December holidays.
